Spend the day making a wonderful hare from willow. Charlotte Moreton a wildlife sculpture and nature lover will take you step by step through the process to create this wonderful animal filled with personality.
10-4pm. Tea, coffee and cake included but do bring your own lunch.
This day of hare-making will start with looking for inspiration - what's so special about the hare?
A bit of frame making based on the true proportions of the hare will make sure the sculpture is expressive in the way only a hare can be.
You will be guided through using aluminium armature wire and steel joining wire for the frame, with a lot of measuring and cutting.
The rest of the day is spent building up the hare in soaked willows, thinking about muscle shapes and expression.
It's always great fun, and will give your hands and 3D-awareness a workout!
