Winter Gardening Essentials

It’s often tempting to make a start of the yearly gardening jobs when it’s a crisp and cold sunny winters day at the start of the year, but often the grey and cold temperatures can motivate us to wait for another day.

To help us make a start in the garden during the winter months and combat the cold at Pod & Pip, we have all the winter gardening essentials needed!

We always put on our trusty Merry People boots which are not only super comfy and waterproof but the neoprene lining helps keep our toes warm. Just add some thick socks if you need to and away you go.

Our favourite Wool Gillets are also an absolute must this time of year! The wool they are made from keeps you warm and cosy in the outdoors whilst also covering backs and bottoms. The sleeveless designs means your core is kept warm but you still have your arms free and easily moveable to get those gardening jobs done.

Our winter Niwaki gardening gloves are perfect for this time of year providing extra warmth, and protection from thorns and cuts and scrapes.

The newly arrived base layers are super soft and a delight to wear providing another essential layer. Add one of our lambswool chunky knits to guarantee  warmth in the freezing temperatures.

There we have it, all  kitted out for gardening in the winter months and looking stylish too!
