Alix Fauvel’s new Café at Pod & Pip

We are thrilled to have Alix Fauvel run her café here in our new space at Pod & Pip. You may well have sampled one of Alix’s scrumptious cakes if you have been to one of our flower workshops or our pop up cafes over the last year or so, but here’s a little bit of background to Alix.

Alix’s background has flourished from a degree in Food Science, with her first job developing ready meals and sandwiches for M & S. Alix then moved on to work for three different olive companies travelling across the Med and North Africa.

Alix’s next move was to run her own food safety consultancy business before finally converting an outbuilding at home 5 years ago to set up a bakery concentrating on making her utterly stunning celebration and seasonal cakes.

Supplying a deli in Bath led to both Daylesford and Selfridges approaching her to supply them with beautifully hand painted seasonal cakes and biscuits and subsequently has made the Selfridges selection top of range Christmas cake for the last 4 years!

Alix will be offering coffee and cakes Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays 10-4pm at her café at Pod & Pip, alongside light lunches with delicious seasonal and homemade food and then again on Saturdays 10-12:30pm for a lazy weekend coffee and cake stop.

Alix’s super popular Christmas cakes and festive treats will be available to buy as well from the café at Pod & Pip shortly.
